Acanthoceratidae Grossouvre, 1894

Key morphological features: Strongly ribbed shell with prominent bumps along surface. Evolute with no changes in shell shape with organism size. Sutures mostly simple in design. This family underwent a rapid burst of radiation during the Cenomanian (100-93 million years ago).
